I started writing fanfiction when I was 15 – freshman in high school. My writing style and abilities were horrendous. But the fanfiction community was so nice, welcoming, and supportive that I became obsessed with writing, posting, reviewing, and replying to reviews. I started seeking out fanfic authors who wrote differently and better than I did. I tried mimicking their styles and over the many years, finally settled into my own style. I quite like how I write and am proud of the work I produce. After the many years honing my writing, I better be damn proud of my work. 🙂
My ultimate goal is to become a published author. I like reading and writing for Young Adult, Romance, Science Fiction, Fantasy and some Action stories. Anything can inspire me, but it’s mostly music.
I am the third child of four. My parents had four kids in five years. I like to call my mother crazy. Affectionately, of course. But at the end of the day, she’s a champ! I can’t imagine doing what she did and I’m proud to be her daughter. My dad’s basically my human teddy bear. And he’s always been so supportive of my writing; he’s read anything I’ve given him. No matter if it was good or bad, he’s always shown me praise. I’ve got an older brother, an older sister and a younger brother. They made life crazy, fun, adventurous and maddening. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
In my spare time from working and writing, I enjoy hiking, listening to music non-stop, playing volleyball and hanging out with friends and family. I am on a co-ed volleyball team; we do pretty well, in my opinion. But I just enjoy hanging out with the team, goofing around like we’re teenagers instead of adults, and laughing just as much as we’re playing volleyball.
I am definitely a self-proclaimed cat lady. But I love animals of all shapes and sizes. Some days I just want to pursue life on an animal sanctuary but I’ve got to make money first. End goal: author turned animal rescuer. Hoozah.
